In celebration of its 25th Year Reunion, the Class of 1983 started a LaFollette
Museum Endowment Fund, eventually to be administered through the Madison
Foundation for Public Schools. In 2008, through alumni donations, alumni
employer donations, and fundraiser sales of "Choy To The Max Coffee" and
1977 State Basketball Champ DVDs, the Class of 1983 helped the LaFollette
High School Archives and History Museum purchase brand new computers and
essential museum supplies.
We hope other graduating classes and businesses will join us in this effort
to build the endowment fund up to a level such that the investment income
provides ongoing similar support for the museum.
The La Follette Archives and History Museum preserves the history of
La Follette High School. As it helps history come alive for students,
it is also used as a teaching tool to equip students with critical thinking
and primary researching skills. Please visit
www.madison.k12.wi.us/laf/archives/
for more information.
Tax-deductible donations can be made by check payable to
La Follette High School Archives and History Museum.
To consolidate contributions into one endowment fund, send
them to:
La Follette Class of '83
PO Box 6032
Monona, WI 53716-6032
Please ask your employer if they offer a matching charitable
gift program. In many cases you only need to fill out a simple form from
your employer and they will match your contribution!
Employers might require you to send contributions
to the following address instead: La Follette High School History Museum,
702 Pflaum Road, Madison, WI 53716.
In the event that the museum/archives is eliminated from the school
many years from now, La Follette High School will apply
the endowment fund proceeds towards other school projects.
